Questions
Is a duplex Class 1a or Class 2?
Two dwellings side by side, each with its own ground-level access, are Class 1a. One above the other is Class 2 and outside the instant menu; send it through and a certifier quotes it.
What drawings do you need?
Site plan, floor plans, elevations and sections as PDF. For alterations, as-built drawings of the existing building as well.
Do you inspect the site?
No. The report is prepared from the drawings, which is what makes the fee fixed and the delivery 72 hours.
