The quote
The fee on the screen is the fee on the invoice for the report described in the quote. Every price on the site shows the total including GST, with the fee before GST beside it; the invoice shows the fee, the GST and the total. It is based on the building class, size and options you selected; if the drawings show a different building, we tell you before we start and re-quote. Quotes are valid for 30 days.
What the report is
A deemed-to-satisfy assessment of the drawings you supply against the National Construction Code current at the date of the report, or a performance solution or access report as quoted, prepared from the drawings without a site inspection. It identifies non-compliances and a practical way to resolve them. It is not a certification, approval or consent, and it does not replace the assessment of the certifier or consent authority for your project.
Delivery
Delivery is 72 hours from the moment we confirm your drawing set is complete. If the set is incomplete we tell you what is missing, and the clock starts when it arrives. The 24-hour option adds 50% to the fee and runs on the same clock.
Revisions
A revision is a re-issue of the report responding to council or assessor comments on the same design. A redesigned building is a new report. One revision is included with each BCA report and performance solution; further revisions are $1,100 inc GST ($1,000 + GST) each. Access reports are revised at the same fee.
Payment
No payment is taken online. We invoice you once your drawing set is confirmed; the report is released when the invoice is paid. Invoices are issued by the entity named in the footer.
What we do not do
We do not report on unauthorised or already-built works. Jobs outside the online menu are scoped and quoted by a certifier before any work starts. Where we are already engaged as the certifier for a project, we tell you and may decline the report on that project.
Liability
The report is prepared for the client named on it and for the project it describes. Our liability for the report is limited to the fee paid for it, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
